About you:

Ideally you will have an in-date DBS registered to the update service; if you do not hold this, we can arrange for you at a cost of £44, which is refundable once you have completed ten days in your new role.

PPA Cover Teacher

What your day will look like?

Cassidy Manufacturing was established in 2007 and continues to grow steadily. We are a custom machine shop involved heavily in the agriculture and heavy equipment sector, focusing mainly  on cast iron material.

We are looking to add CNC Machine Operators, to our evening and overnight teams. Please note  these are not rotating  shifts, and we are not located on a bus route, having reliable transportation is required.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work with the shift supervisors to ensure that daily production requirements and goals are being met
  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Working knowledge of calipers, micrometers, height gauges, plug and thread gauges and other conventional  measuring tools
  • Measure and verify dimensions of parts made to ensure they conform to customer drawings and specifications
  • Monitor tool life and adjust tool offsets
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Keep detailed quality records in accordance with Quality policy
  • Keep detailed and accurate records, for example, travelers, E2 (quantity of parts completed per shift, measurements etc.)  count verification forms (CVF), and quality tags
  • Communicate, and resolve issues daily, during shift change over
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements during shift change over
  • Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools such as cordless drills, drill presses, hydraulic presses and grinders
  • Ability to reach parts per shift (PPS) required within training time period (3-6 months)
  • Monitor and apply Health and Safety guidelines

Requirements:

  • Experience in metal manufacturing
  • Knowledge of CNC operation and a basic understanding of G and M codes
  • Experience with conventional measuring tools
  • Complete blue print assessment & proficiency testing

Marine Technician

Our client is one of the world’s leading canal boating holiday companies with over 50 successful years in this sector and part of a larger holiday group. This is a really great opportunity to get involved in a company that is always growing and expanding and where there are real opportunities for progression in the UK, Europe and Beyond! They are currently looking for a Marine Technician to be based in Vinkeveen, Holland.

Vinkeveen is a village in the dutch province of Utrecht, 18km south of Amsterdam.

The right candidate will be someone who is enthusiastic and flexible as this is a role with a wide range/variety of duties. In the winter you will be part of a team maintaining the fleet of boats including mechanical maintenance/repairs, installation of electrical and mechanical equipment and small fibre glass repairs. In the summer there will still be ongoing maintenance, but you will also be supporting customers throughout their cruise, showing them the ropes onboard and being on call (on a rota basis) for emergency repairs.

Excellent organisation and communication skills are a must and a marine/boating maintenance background would be preferable, however we will look at applicants with relevant transferrable skills. Accommodation available for the right person.
